Lemonade
My kids love homemade lemonade and it’s so easy to make. I also take the opportunity to peel the lemons before I juice to make a small batch of Limoncello.
Lemonade
Ingredients
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 5 large lemons)
- 1 cup white sugar
- 3 cups filtered water
Instructions
- In a small skillet over medium-low heat, add 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar until sugar is dissolved As an alternative, the mixture can also be heated in the microwave.
- Remove the sugar and water mixture from heat and let cool to room temperature.
- Squeeze enough lemons for 1 cup lemon juice. I strain the lemon juice into a pitcher, since my kids don't like the pulp. If you want to include the plup, just remove seeds before adding to pitcher.
- Add the sugar and water mixture to the same pitcher along with 2 cups cold filtered water.
- Pour into a tall glass over ice and enjoy!
