
Biscuits & Gravy
We have been dabbling in making our own sausage. In that effort we had a lot of sausage and wanted more recipes to include as an ingredient. This one is a standout and so easy!
Biscuits & Gravy
Ingredients
- 1 batch homemade biscuits or store bought
- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
Instructions
- Bake biscuits ahead of time according to instructions.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage, cook until crumbled and brown.kened about 10 minutes, add salt and pepper. Serve over warm biscuits.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and sprinkle flour over sausage, stirring to coat evenly. Cook for about a minute and then add milk. Cook until thick.
- Serve with biscuits.
