We have been dabbling in making our own sausage. In that effort we had a lot of sausage and wanted more recipes to include as an ingredient. This one is a standout and so easy!

Ingredients

  • 1 batch homemade biscuits  or store bought
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

Instructions

  • Bake biscuits ahead of time according to instructions.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage, cook until crumbled and brown.kened about 10 minutes, add salt and pepper. Serve over warm biscuits.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low and sprinkle flour over sausage, stirring to coat evenly. Cook for about a minute and then add milk. Cook until thick.
  • Serve with biscuits.
