Korean Hot Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced in garlic press
  • 2 teaspoons fresh ginger grated with a zester
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 6 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 6 tablespoons gochujang
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

Instructions

  • In a 2-cup Pyrex measuring cup (or small microwave safe mixing bowl) add the sesame oil, garlic and ginger. Cook in the microwave for 1 minute, until fragrant and bubbling. Stir in remaining ingredients and serve or add to recipe.
