Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 5 large lemons)
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 3 cups filtered water

Instructions

  • In a small skillet over medium-low heat, add 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar until sugar is dissolved As an alternative, the mixture can also be heated in the microwave.
  • Remove the sugar and water mixture from heat and let cool to room temperature.
  • Squeeze enough lemons for 1 cup lemon juice. I strain the lemon juice into a pitcher, since my kids don't like the pulp. If you want to include the plup, just remove seeds before adding to pitcher.
  • Add the sugar and water mixture to the same pitcher along with 2 cups cold filtered water. 
  • Pour into a tall glass over ice and enjoy!
